Oreo Buttercream
1 cup butter
3/4 cup milk
6 cups confectioners sugar (pure cane)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp almond extract
1/2 cup Oreo crumbs
*optional mini Oreos for topping
Blend butter on low for 5 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients, except the Oreos, and blend on low until fully incorporated. Hand mix in the Oreo crumbs.
*You can pipe the Oreo buttercream onto the cupcakes and top them with mini Oreos.
Tip: to crush the Oreos, I place them in a gallon Ziploc bag and crush them finely with my rolling pin.
